light and dark

Here are some pictures from the Egypt reunion in Des Moines (and Orange City/Sioux Center.) I just realized that Andrew K is in all of them.

My step-grandmother had two mini-strokes on Monday night. She's okay, but we're worried, of course. I went to see her with my sister and parents last night. Brings to mind thoughts of life and mortality.

I love the vintage clothing. Looks like it was a grand time.

The prospect of death is a scary thing. Is she home again or still hospitalized?

Yes it was. We were in a vintage clothing store in Des Moines called Atomic Garage. The owner was very cool. I would work there.

They were doing some more tests today, and then hopefully she'll be able to go home.

Nice new blog format. How do I get a hold of your copy of Duncan? And I hope your grandma is recovering with minimal side effects. Care to expound on any of your ponderings?

Crap, I just loaned it to my sister. Let's bug her so she reads really fast.
