until school starts. I'm almost ready, I think. I need to put the finishing touches on my course outlines, photo copy them, and make sure I know what I'm doing in my classes on Tuesday. It'll be mostly introductions and course outlines and the like, I think. Maybe a little writing. Scott came to school with me to help put some things on my bulletin boards. I have two HUGE bulletin boards that I don't really know what to do with. As soon as my students hand something in, it's going up. Maybe we'll make a word wall or something. I have to keep reminding myself that mine is a Social Studies and Bible classroom, as well as English. I have a feeling that I'll want to lean more on the English side of Humanities (because, really, everything else revolves around English, right?)and push the Social Studies and Bible to the side a bit. I'll have to be conscious of that.
(Big breath.) It's starting soon. I'm excited to the max, but a little nervous. Poor Scott has had to deal with my over drive function for the past week--my overdriven function makes me look a bit like a dog stuck chasing its tail--round and round in circles but not making much progress.
Four days!

I love you Margaret.
And deep breaths are good.
How about a big mural on that bulletin board?
push theology to the side?
Margaret, people get excommunicated for things like that!
You'll do great. Good luck!
thank goodness scott has the patience of, um, let's say a really patient person.
i will see you soooooon!
Hey you,
I did laundry in the basement tonight and thought of you. Not that I connect you with smelly socks, but just hanging my clothes on the line. :) I hope that your first days go wonderfully well...and hang in there with bulletin boards. Yay Scott for helping. the kids come on Wednesday over here, and I'm not quite ready for them yet. I hope you're feeling ready - nervous and excited - love your kids and learn from them and with them. Keep me posted on how it goes!
P.S. Matt is now in Vancouver...We miss him already.
i think you will be fine. you'll be the kind of teacher that students will always like.
