time again

It's probably time to write on this thing again. I think my sister erased her blog. Did you, Sarah? Five more weeks of school, and then we'll take off for Winnipeg and Sioux Center. Those weeks will go quickly.

Things of note lately:
  • Track is almost over with two more practices next week and then provincials, which I won't have to go to (provincials, I mean)
  • Our apartment is going to be hot this summer. It's on the forth floor of a building that doesn't have air conditioning. (It's a fairly new building, that's not why it doesn't have air conditioning--they just don't build buildings with air conditioning around here.) We're trying the old mid-western housewife wisdom today: close the windows and blinds as soon as the sun starts getting hot. It seems to be working so far--although we don't get to see the sunlight. Sorry, not very interesting.
  • I had my grade nines make a list of ten personality traits that they would look for in a spouse (relating to Romeo and Juliet), and then ask their parents to do the same. I did the activity as well, and some of my students were concerned that I didn't put "Christian" on my list. How to explain.
  • I have a huge pile of marking that must get finished this weekend.
  • I can't put a picture on my profile anymore. Don't know what's up.

That's it.

5 weeks???? Wow. You can do it! Tell your kids that having a Christian man is so obviously important that you don't need to waste time by putting it on a list. Yeah, that's it.

Hey you -
I got a most lovely invite in the mail today. Whoohoo!
We had a meeting for our spring youth retreat out at Ken's cabin and he was like, "I sure wish Scott and Margaret were still here. They were great out there last year." I agreed. We decided we should invite you guys to come! So, what are you doing Friday to Sunday of this week? :)
Yeah, all right. I know - late notice. Hope you're well!
