day three

So, three days down, one more this week. It's been a good week, I think. My English 10 class is going to be fun, I think. I taught about half of them last year, so I know all of their names already. I know about 95% of the names in my two grade nine classes. (Which is quite a feat considering I see at least 75 students a day.) I try to make a point of learning everyone's name quickly--it seems to help. I also like the fact that I'm no longer a first year teacher. It's so much easier to get what you want from your students when you actually know what you want. That being said, I think that at least one of my grade nine classes is going to need a different seating plan--they're going to start testing me soon, I think. I should work on that.

Scott is at his first class of the year right now. It's a three hour class from 5:30-8:30 on Thursday evenings. That's a long time to be sitting in a desk, paying attention. I think that he was kind of nervous about it, so I hope it's going okay. He should be home soon.

We're going to be hosting a movie club/group thing at our apartment this coming week. Our pastor wants to start a movie club. It should be fun.

Oh, Scott is home.
