exploding cupcakes

There was a Family Guy marathon on tv on Saturday. I guess that's what happens when you get cable. You watch three hours of Family Guy.

We've been blessed with over a week of sun here lately. They keep forecasting rain, but then it doesn't come. It's beautiful. I documented our drive to church yesterday morning with Scott's digital camera. I'll put them up when I get on Scott's computer. Somehow mine doesn't have iphoto anymore.

A graduate of our school died of complications from a car accident last week. He was coming home from college in Edmonton, hit some black ice, and hit another car head-on. He was stable for a few days, but then he was declared brain-dead. There are three other siblings in our school, and several cousins as well. Hard.

Scott and I are training for the Sun Run. It's a 10k run in Stanley Park. Actually, I don't know if we'll actually participate in the race, but the Vancouver Sun published a training program that we've been doing for five weeks now. Wow, it's crazy to think that it's been that long. Tomorrow we start week six, which is running for five minutes and walking for a minute seven times. We'll see if we can run 10k by the end.

I can't decide if I should stay home tomorrow or not. I have a bit of a sore throat, and my voice seems to be threatening to go away. But I don't feel sick enough to justify staying home. So the question is: am I going to feel better tomorrow, or am I going to continue to get sicker, and I should just stay home in order to fend off getting sicker? I don't know. Maybe I'll see how I feel in the morning.

the end.

I think you should stay home. Then you could post your pictures AND write me an e-mail!

I wish I could run with you guys too.

I hope you didn't get sick.
And I am so glad that you are training for the Sun Run! I did that training program last year adn it worked really well. I started it a few weeks late, and ended early, but was still able to complete the race. I'm sure you and Scott will do great.

ps. I'm thinking about you over here in India!
