Life has been busy/stressful lately. I'll do this in numbered paragraph form.
1. Scott and I made a trip up to Winnipeg last weekend. It was strange, compared to our normal fare. While we were there my Aunt Louise passed away. We didn't get to see her before she died. The rest of the weekend was divided between Scott's and my families. It's hard to concentrate on both at the same time. That brings me to number two:
2. We're heading back up to Winnipeg on Friday. Aunty Louise's funeral is on Saturday. This would not be a big deal (besides the large amount of driving that we've done in the past week) except for the fact that the Red River is flooding right now. Hopefully we'll be able to find routes around the flooded roads. When we came home on Monday, there was a point where we had to drive through about a foot of water running over the highway for about 50 feet. That was kind of scarry.
3. I accepted the job offered to me at the school where I filled in for a few months last fall. I'll be teaching the middle school class. By middle school class, I mean grades 5, 6, and 8. That's right, no 7. And yes, you're right, no grade 7 because there are no kids in grade 7. It's a lovely little school, and the kids are great, and I'm already super excited about all of the fun/educational things that I can do. I haven't heard from the other possible possibility, but that's because they are still accepting applications until Friday. Obviously I'll turn it down, if they offer. I wonder what that will feel like, if it happens.
Just waiting for this load of laundry to be finished, and then I'll go to bed.

you should take the attema's canoe along to winni, they strap down on a car wonderfully. and handle water quite well also.

And I hope the second trip to Winnepeg went well.
