thursday

-meet the teacher night tonight. A mother commented that I look young. Then she giggled for a while.
-tomorrow is extra special because it's Friday AND payday. Yay for regular (or any) paycheques. I haven't had one for a while.
-the parentals come next week. Yes!
-I'm tired but I need to stay up because I have to bring Scott to work at 11 (he's working the overnight.) So. Tired.
-tomorrow is supposed to be current events day in Hum, but I don't think that we're going to do current events because I need some more time to get ready. I want it to be good--not just slapped together--they need some good history in there. And to engage them all, that will be the issue.
-Oh man, do the boys like to talk. The girls, too. And loud.
-Played the bowl game today. The kids didn't know Raffi. A different generation, I guess. Makes me feel old. But I'm not old, so they should just know who Raffi is.
-Scott's going into Vancouver on Saturday, but I'm going to stay home because I need to:
-set up my new office--the bedroom across the hall from mine is now mine to make an office
-figure out how to do this current events thing
-mark! I collected an assignment from hum yesterday, and another one's coming in tomorrow from English
-get ready for my parents' arrival
-plan for next week
-relax

That's a lot. It probably won't all get done. My lists rarely do.

I didn't really know about Raffi til I met Joshua who loves to listen to Raffi when drunk! And what is "hum"?

ahh yes...the bowl game, I've played that before but don't care for it much, and how can they not know who Raffi is?? Glad to hear things are going well for you in BC.

I teach a course called Humanities (English, Bible, Social Studies) which we abbreviate to Hum.

Just start making stacks on the kitchen table.
I find that's really helpful.
Ahem... :)

Hooray for acquiring an office! Were you able to check much off your list?

I was going to get after you for not going into Vancouver with Scott on Saturday, but then I realized that I was too busy to hang out with you anyways. :(

Perhaps one of these weekends...

Hey, if I say I don't have time, I don't have time. :)
