problem?

Is it a problem if my sense of humour is starting to align with my grade nine students' senses of humour? I'm not quite sure what I'm becoming. Strange, that's what it is. Today the class next door to us started drumming their feet on the floor, so naturally, my rambuncious grade nine boys followed suit. Within half a second, our whole classroom was ringing with the sound of feet being pounded on the floor. I almost couldn't do anything at first because I was laughing so hard. But I put a stop to that nonsense quickly. Silly boys.

Scott and I have been working on finding plane tickets to Iowa/Winnipeg for Christmas. Ah the complexities. Right now it's looking like a couple of one ways from Seattle to Omaha, a drive up to Winnipeg, and another couple of one ways from Winnipeg to Abbotsford. Two stubborn personalities not working very well together on this one. But we shall triumph.

I like to imagine you laughing at/with your students, "Ms. Den Boer" (I probably spelled your name wrong) so don't lose that Grade 9 sense of humour.

Oh, and you can bet that I've told the "Iowa - you FAT!" story several times since I got back to Cairo :)

From what I've gathered, teaching is all about acting. Am I right?

And are you going to come and visit me again soon? Gabe coming to town is just the excuse you need. yes.

We'll see--I'll try, Sara. I'm a little swamped right now with marking up to my ears and interims needing to be done by Friday (and a cold to boot.) Not to mention the day to day planning stuff.
