I am now the official split-taker track coach. That means that at meets, like today, I stand at the finish line and record how long it takes our athletes to run around the track. So if it's a 800, I record two numbers: the first time around, and the second time around. Things get interesting when there are multiple 4x400 teams in the same race. It's good for my math brain though, because I have to think in both base 10 and base 60 to figure out their splits.
Tomorrow is a pd day. We're going to be spending the day at school talking/learning about assessment. I'm prepared to be slightly frustrated with my fellow staff members who resist change like they were born in 1800. But it could be good as well.
Please tell me that if I were to tell you that the final draft of your short story was due tomorrow, you would assume that that meant your good copy. I thought so.

but I thought that final draft meant there was still one more we would turn in, like you said some time last class? anyway, my printer is all messed up, and when I came to school and tried the computer here, the file was just all gibberish? that's why I'm 10 minutes late to class, but I don't have my final draft because I thought you said last time we wouldn't need it today? can I just e-mail it to you later tonight?
