Here's a semi-interesting story: last week I was working on getting my last name changed on a few documents, so I went to Human Resources so that I could change the name on my social insurance card (Canada's social security card, for you Americans.) I had printed and filled out the appropriate form, so it should not have taken more than half an hour of waiting to be called. So I told the very friendly lady what I wanted to do, and she attempted to change it on the computer, only to find that my number was dormant! Apparently, if you don't use your social insurance number for over five year, it goes dormant, and you have to be investigated before they'll activate it for you. So I had to go in a private office and talk to an investigator who asked me some questions about the circumstances under which I got my original card and number. It wasn't until I could correctly tell her what street I was living on when I first applied for social insurance that she was confident that I was who I said I was. So I guess they get a lot of identity theft. It's a strange thing to steal, someone's identity. It sort of seems unstealable--an intangible thing. Oh well, thankfully no one stole my identity while I was out of the country.
In other news, I just cleaned all of the soap scum out of our shower with our new Norwex cloth. Thanks Kayla and Harley! If you don't know about Norwex, you should check it out here .
That's it. We're going to my old house in a bit for burrito night. It was a Friday night tradition last year, which we'll continue, hopefully (even though tonight is actually Saturday.)

I'd steal a Canadian's social insurance number for the free health care!
