mustard

This morning, when I woke up at a very early hour, I found a note from Mrs. Voogd on the counter. It explained that she had made my lunch (she doesn't usually do that) and that it was in a pail in the fridge. She requested that I bring the jar holding the mustard home because it was such a nice little jar. (!) In the fridge, I found an ice cream bucket containing:
1. A container of boerkole, one of my favorite Dutch meals.
2. A container of ketchup because she knows I like ketchup on boerkole.
3. A little jar of mustard because I also like mustard on boerkole.
4. A fork and a knife wrapped together in tin foil.
5. A muffin wrapped in saran wrap.
6. A jar of the custard we had for desser last night.
7. A napkin.
8. A brown paper bag in case I wanted to carry the whole thing in a paper bag.

I put my lunch in the paper bag--I thought I might look a little silly carrying an ice cream bucket to school, but I felt very cared for.
